    Default Toddler light switch?

    Hi,

Sort of related to potty training, well, only that we have to walk DS to the bathroom everytime he has to use it because he cannot turn on the light switch. Has anyone found a solution to that problem? Our bathroom isn't big enough to put a stool under the light switch (plus I'm not sure I want him trying to stand on one when he is usually in a hurry and distracted :-)).

I've found these online, anyone tried them or something similar? I wish they were nicer looking, since they don't really match our guest bathroom decor :-).

I was thinking the first one looks kind of simple, maybe I could rig something up similar to it...

    Thanks.

How about using a motion sensor nightlight? Or even a motion sensor light switch (we have those in the washrooms at work). The bonus is that these would shut themselves off after he leaves the room.

We have this one from drugstore.com in the playroom and in Alia's room: http://www.drugstore.com/qxp91366_33...h_extender.htm

It works perfectly and allows you to pop it off later on when the child is tall enough to work the switch without the extender. Our bathroom lights are all double switches (for the ceiling fan) and I'm not sure how this would attach in that case.
