Default Stand-alone Potty Chair vs. Adult Toilet with Potty Seat?

Anyone have any thoughts on this? We have been having him use a stool to climb up on the adult toilet (hasn't produced yet) but does the whole stool-climbing thing take too long? Is a potty chair easier on the road?

I was figuring if I skipped the stand-alone potty I wouldn't have to transition him later to the big seat. We're not into hard-core training yet - he has been the total initiator so far. But he hates being wet and messy, so we may go for it soon!

    TIA!

I would say go for the big potty since he is used to it already. If you wat to take a small potty onb the road he can get used to that later in those circumstances only.
