Default When do U take away baby food?

DS is 17 mo and still eats 2 jars of food at each meal. For example, for lunch, he'll have a fruit jar, a veggie jar, and then whatever 'real' food (apples, bananas, grilled cheese, chicken nuggets, pita/hummus, etc.). Should I be taking him off the baby food? I'm apprehensive b/c he doesn't have a problem with it and I know he's getting those veggies. Thanks!

Default RE: When do U take away baby food?

    Hi,

I stopped both of mine at 1 year. For a few reasons...One, it was cheaper and two, they did not want me to feed them anymore. Had to do everything themselves.

Will he eat peas, carrots, beans etc? Mine really went to town on those.

I didn't take it away so much as DD did not want to eat it anymore. She was just bored with the no-salt, no-sugar, bland-textured stuff. She wanted salsa and Indian food and waffles all of a sudden.

I can't quite remember how old she was. Maybe 16-18 months? I don't think it's unhealthy for them to eat the baby food. Certainly a dent in the pocketbook...
