    Default Toddler booster seats

I have a 3 1/2 yr old who is about 41 inches but only about 35 lbs, and we will soon need to put our baby in his Britax RA, so he will go into a booster. Since he will still need the harness for a while, & I want to make sure he stays put in his new seat, is there a recommendation for a combination booster for him?

    Hi Amy.

You need a combo seat with harness that goes to 40 pounds, then turns into a booster. You want a combo seat with a front harness adjuster and higher harness slots (so he'll still fit to the full 40 pounds). This is the list:

    Evenflo Apollo or Express
    Graco Grand or Ultra CarGo
    Century Breverra Ascend
Century Next Step DX or MX

The Apollo has some nice extra features. The Express and CarGos are cheapest. The Express has nice padding, the CarGos have deep wings.

Try taking your son to the store so you can both try out the new seats and decide what you like.
