Sleeping Comfortably in Booster Seat?

We currently have the Century Breverra Ascend booster seat (with a back) for my 5.5 year old son. It has been fine for everyday driving, however for longer trips he cannot fall asleep comfortably. His head just falls forward. I've been doing some searching on the internet and have not found a solution other than the pillow stuffing recommendation. Anyone out there have a better solution. I'm not really interested in purchasing another expensive carseat, but might consider a backless booster. He's about 46 pounds and 4' tall. Thanks for your input.
