Default RE: Britax Regent in a RAV 4

the manual for the Husky/Regent clearly states that the tether is REQUIRED after 50lbs, whether you are using the recline bar or not (which is the only way to get out of using the tether before that)

Kat, thanks so much for clarifying that for me. I didn't think skipping the tether was an option, but I just wanted to be sure.

I could have written the OP's post on this thread! We have a 36.5 in 2.5 year old and an older RAV. We also went round and round on the tether anchors with our dealership and eneded up with them not installing them. It is good to know that the Regent needs the tethers over 50#. We've been looking at the Radian, so now I'm leaning even more towards it.

    Thanks for this thread!
