Default Height limits on Britax Marathon

    HI Everyone,
I was looking up the height limit on the marathon and found it to be 49". I have an almost 4 year old who is 45". The top third of his head is sticking up out of the seat, and I don't think it looks like it would offer much side impact protection. Does anyone know if this is truly the height limit, or would you proceed to a booster?
    Thanks for the help.

I think my dd outgrew the ma at like 45 inches. are his shoulders above the top slots? a harness will almost always be better than a booster for side impact, beacause the torso is held in place in 5 points, not just 3.
you just have to search your soul and decide if you are ready to give up the extra protection... if not, get a regent or safeguard seat, and if so, look for a good booster with a high back and side impact protection.

Thank you for responding. Come to think of it, his shoulders are above the top slot. I will be putting him in a booster soon. Thank you very much!
