    Default little tikes kitchen?

Does anyone have one of the LT kitchens?? I've seen them online and they look pretty cute. Or, does anyone have another kitchen your DD or DS LOVES (or hates)?? I want to buy one for Audrey--I really think she'd love one--but am in no rush. I really would like to find a kitchen that will grow with her.

I have an older one that I got at a consigment shop for $20 that I am very happy with. This is mine:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...&category=2574

Its large enough to have lots of places for her interact with, but not so large that it takes up the whole play area.

The newer version is called the "Cookin Sounds Gourmet Kitchen":

Go here: http://www.littletikes.com/toyfinder...inder.asp?C=TF and click on Kitchens.

I saw it for $69 at TRU the other day.

I have an older style cottage kitchen. We really like it. I really like that the older ones don't make noise! :D

This is the one we bought for DS.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...&category=2574

It is really nice because it can be opened up or kept folded depending on the space you have. It has lots of doors to open and close and like the other's said, it is really nice that the older ones
kitchens do not make any noise. I did buy mine off of ebay. When I was looking, I searched for sellers in my area and local pick-up since the kitchens would be too expensive to ship. It was only a 30 minute drive and $12...

    We have this Guidecraft one:

    http://www.gummylump.com/front/f_product.php?id=776

DD is 18 months old and we set it up around Christmas. She's been enjoying it ever since. As a matter of fact, DH and I had cup after cup of "tea" that she made for us this morning :). I looked at the LT ones and also some Step 2 ones and for the most part they seemed fine, but I was leaning towards a wood one. I also liked that she will really be able to grow into this one. She does need her stepstool to reach the microwave now, but she's fine with the lower oven/dishwasher and cooktop. I also liked that it is 3-D, so it seems like there is more playspace. Another consideration for us is that the footprint is smaller than some of the LT or Step 2 ones, or even some of the other wood ones we saw - the Guidcraft one goes up as opposed to out.

Good luck with your decision - there are a lot of great choices out there.

We have the LT double kitchen and laundry center too. DD loves this kitchen and so do I! She received it for her 1st birthday and still plays with it every day.

We have the Little Tykes Cooking Sounds kitchen. My parents bought it for Christmas for Alia (so she was around 19 months when she got it). She *loves* it. My parents said they looked for one that wouldn't tip over, so read a lot of reviews. The microwave doesn't beep (which is ok by me!) but Alia will push the screen and say "beep, beep" like ours would if you pushed it. It does have a water sound and two cooking sounds when you move a lever. Her sippy barely fits in the "microwave" but she puts it in there. Overall she loves it and that's what counts by me!

PS - Alia had a 4 year old friend over recently and both played with it. So you can use it with more than 1 kid (some are small and you can't do that) and it was fine for an almost 2 year old and a 4 year old.

MY kids have this one and it is a favorite of both. It always is a hit for playdates too.

I always wanted a wooden one but this is so much easier to keep clean when my 5 year old decides to cook for his sister...

We have the LT Tender Heart Tea Party Kitchen

    http://www.littletikes.com/toyfinder.../toyfinder.asp

It's not as big as the others because when we got it we had limited space for it. Now that our basement is finished, it sits in the corner. We knew Kathleen would want this one too because feeding baby is her favorite thing to do. She still loves it to this day.
