    Default Playhouse recommendation?

I think DD may "need" a playhouse. :)

Anyone have one that they really like or recommend? It will be outside and NEEDS to be maintenance free. And where's the best place to buy stuff like this? Is on-line OK, or should I stick with TRU.

I love this one, but its quite expensive and maybe not worth the additional $$.

I am also looking at these two:

    and

    Thanks!

    Hi again Beth LOL :D

Ok i have the first one, she's BIG but that is why i bought it not only is it taller than alot out there but it's roomy enough for a couple kiddo's.

The other two you listed i have seen IRL....the neat and tidy? the one with the floor by step 2 is cute i do like the built in floor but it's not very tall, but it depends of coarse ..my 8yo is 48in tall so i needed tall she can't fit in that one...of coarse that doesn't stop her from trying in TRU but anyhow ;)

All are maintenace free and are fine outdoors...no siding to paint LOL ..i've had similar items for years since eldest dd was about a year old, i've just had to upgrade as they got bigger and more kids kept arriving, my best advice to avoid a upgrade problem down the road like i did is buy..

*biggest you can afford and have space for

This will give you the longest lifespan for your dollar :) My kids love the playhouse, good Luck!

Oh yeah that one is very neat! If your not a tall adult you can stand inside it. I did consider it but here things go way up in costs plus it seemed very hard to get ahold of.

Can you believe years ago grandma wanted to buy it for dd#1 and i said no it's too big?! ugh...oh well best made plans :o Silly me

It is quite big but has quite a cute kitchen complete with cupboard plus the extra height again is good for the grownups to enter.

    Good luck deciding!

Beth, I didn't spend a lot of time pricing playhouses because we only bought a climber and sandbox this year (and got a free teeter totter - the Naturally Playful line) but noticed when I was looking online that it is much cheaper to just buy at TRU. I think that Naturally Playful playhouse was on sale for $299 a week or two ago.

Colin just loves playhouses everywhere we go, so I suspect that we'll break down either this year or next and buy one. I'm hoping to find one at a garage sale this year - you know, barely used, $25 OBO?? Yeah, right.

Lori, I keep hoping to find one like that too, LOL. But stuff like that goes really fast around here, and I'm too lazy to hit garage sales at 7 am on a Saturday, LOL!!!

Keep an eye on the TRU sales ad. They've had both #1 (for $299) & #2 (for $150) on sale the past month. I bought #2 but haven't assembled it yet.

Beth, I think that #2 is on sale at TRU this week - $130 down to $100 or something like that?
