    Default Burner Safety

DD loves to put her hands up to the top of the stove and is not too far from being able to touch the front burners. What do you use to block them/keep little hands from getting burned?

    Thanks!

Hello! We recently had our house baby proofed by a professional. I actually inquired about those plastic sheilds that cover the front of the stove (knobs and go up about 4-6 inches to cover the burners) he did not reccommend them - he said that he has seen 2 or 3 of them burn because they get too close to the burners. So what do you do? Good question. Our kitchen is very small so we just gated it off, the only time I thought having a very small kitchen was a good thing. So I don't have an answer, but I just thought I'd let you know about the potential danger of the plastic sheilds.
