Default Ice Cream Cone cupcakes - advice?

Iee! DS has asked that I make ice cream cone cupcakes, and after reading various reviews of this very easy recipe - I'm wondering if anyone has any advice regarding making them the night before I have to take them to school. Since I want to make them tomorrow night, and they won't be eaten until about noon the next day, I don't want them getting soggy. Making them the morning of just isn't a realistic option for me, since we leave the house so early in the morning.

    Any advice from past experiences?

    Thanks!

    Kyra :)

It has been my observation that the cones do not get soggy, as in wet, but rather they get more chewy than crunchy. And I can pretty much guarantee you that a kid will not care if the cone is chewy instead of crunchy. Good luck!

When I made this for DS' birthday last year, I used a boxed chocolate cake mix. It turned out fairly well and was really easy.
