Default POLL: Give your baby's measurements and what CDs work for you

We all know how frustrating it is to buy diapers that end up not working, so let's get out those tape measures and pull together our experience to save other CD'ing moms some money and trouble!

    So, tell us:

    Baby's weight

    Baby's height

    Baby's waist measurement

Baby's rise measurement (top of the diaper in front, down through the crotch, to the top of the diaper in back; measure with a trim diaper on)

Baby's thigh measurement (taken around the widest point)

    And then, tell us:

What dipes work for you (and what size you have)

What covers work for you (and what size you have)

And, if you want, what dipes and covers (including sizes, if possible) did not work for you (based on your baby's shape and size).

Default RE: POLL: Give your baby's measurements and what CDs work for you

    I'll go first!

    Weight: appx 17-18 lbs

    Height: 29" or so

    Waist: 18"

    Rise: 15", give or take

    Thigh: 9"

    Dipes that work for us:

    Sugar Peas size 1
    Cricketts hemp size medium
    Mommymade (size medium??)
    Kissaluvs size 2
Little Lambs size large (not much room to grow, though)
Mom & Me Creations fitted size medium (20-35lbs)
    Prorap AIO size medium
Liz's Cloth size 2 (a little big, though)
    FuzziBunz size medium
    Bunny Patch side snap (medium??)
ME Sandy size small (not much room to grow, either)

    Covers that work for us:

Bumpy day and night covers, size medium
    Motherease Airflow, size medium
    Posie Patch cover, size small
    Prorap velcro cover, size medium

Stuff that has not worked for us:

Toadies fitted, size medium (too big in the thighs)
Proraps snap cover size medium (too big in the thighs)
Cuddlebuns (too wide in the crotch)
Cuddlebuns bikini cut (rise is too high, front wings droop)
Luke's Drawers Cotton Kiss and CK AIO size large (too big and bulky, despite being well within the size range by weight)
Liz's Cloth size 1 (all around too small, I don't like the bikini look)
Kissaluvs size 1 (rise is too low, despite being well within the weight range)

That's all I can think of right now - I'll be back to edit if I think of more (assuming that there is interest in this thread)!

I'll play, too :) This is fun!

At 16 months, Maya weighs approx 21 lbs and is about 30" tall. Her measurements are 17" (waist), 17" (rise) and 10" (thigh).

The fitted diapers that work for us are:
    SOS (perfect fit)
    Darling fitteds (medium, side snap)
Darling pocket fitteds (medium, side snap, beautifully made)
Bizzy B Hive (large, side snap)
Cuddlebuns (both traditional and bikini cut)
    Ivy Rose (large, side snap)

    Our favorite AIOs:
    Luke's Drawers Candy Wrappers (large)
    Righteous Baby (size 2)
    Zootkitty (large)
    Zootkitty pocket (large)
Full Moon Baby Gear (large, a little bulky)
    Bumkins (large with JBs)

    Covers:
Fuzbaby FuzEasy wool cover (large, my favorite cover so far)
Ivy Rose PUL with fabric outer (large)
    Lucy's Hope Chest (medium)
    Bumpy (large)
Aristocrat wool (sorry, don't remember the size)
    ME AirFlow (medium-large)

These didn't fit well, so I sold them:
    FuzziBuns (medium)
    Happy Heiny's (large, too big)
Luke's Drawers Cotton Kisses fitted and AIO (large, leg holes too big)

Whew! Hope this will save someone from buying and selling a lot of dipes :)

    weight: 15 lbs
    height: ~25 inches
    waist: 16 inches
    rise: NA (12.5 w/o diaper)
    thigh: 10 inches

    Diapers/covers that work for us:
    Kissaluvs size 1s
Bizzy B Hive AIO, small (2 snap, 1 aplix)
    Darling Diapers AIO, medium (w/aplix)
    Bummis SIWW, medium
Proraps Classic, small (w/aplix) - I like these w/ CPFs only

    Here are Lyra's measurements:

    wt = 17 pounds

    height = 26 1/2 in.

    waist = 17 in.

    rise = 15 3/4 in.

    thigh = 10 in.

    Diapers that work well:
    Kissaluvs fitted size 2
    Kissaluvs contour size M/L
Liz's Cloth size 2 (a little bulky, but great for night time)
    UBCPF regular
    Bumkins AIO size large

    Covers that work well:
    Proraps size medium
    ME Air Flow size M/L

Diapes that don't fit so great:
ME One-size -- too wide between legs
ME Sandies size large -- too bulky
Fuzzibunz size medium (stuffed with a premium CPF for night time barely fits)
CPF premium -- too bulky for daytime

    Covers that don't fit well:
Bummis Super Snap size medium -- just doesn't fit thigh well.
