    Default Question about Microfiber towels

Okay, so I know we've talked about this before, but I haven't been able to find these towels at Sam's or Target (two stores that are relatively near me). I haven't had the chance to dash out to Walmart (long trip!) and I'm not sure where the Costco is located. In any case, I'm not a member of Costco.

Okay, so what's considered a decent price for these towels? Is there anyplace online that I can get them? Am I just looking in the wrong place at Target?

    Thanks!

Default RE: Question about Microfiber towels

For all three places, the towels are located in the automotive section. (They are meant for auto detailing.) The Walmart towels are around 6 for $5, the Target towels were 6 for $6, and the Costco towels were 12 for $13. (Approximate prices and its been awhile...)

I was at Target this weekend, and the towels are $5.99 for a 5 pack in the automotive section. They were on a bottom shelf at my local Target. Target used to have a pack with a bonus green towel - which made it 6 for $5.99, but I haven't seen them for a while. I think they are a dollar cheaper at Walmart, but I've never been there, so this is secondhand info from DH, who isn't a reliable source.

At Sam's, they are in the automotive care section with all the tools and car wash stuff. They come in a pack of 20 for $9 something at my Sam's. Approximately half blue (a lightish blue) and half white. The ends of the towels are not packaged--just paper wrapped around their middles.

    Eileen-

I want to warn you, I got the walmart ones first to try them, and liked them, so then I got a big pack at sam's club. Well, the sam's club ones are not as nice as the walmart ones. The walmart ones seem a little more plush and it the edges do not get all rolled up. I am really annoyed with my sam's club ones, the edges roll up and it gets VERY clingy to itself, plus it is thinner. I am thinking about just using all the sam's club ones (I used the white ones and gave the blue ones to my DH for swiffering the floor with) and using them for household cleaning and just going out and buying a few pkgs of the walmart ones. Just wanted to let you know that my exp is the walmart and sam's club ones are NOT of the same quality, although both come in pks of blue/white (I wish they were all white). I will just use the blue ones to stuff my darker color pockets, b/c you can see them through the lighter colored pockets.

the yellow ones at Costco are 12 for about $8 something making them the best deal.

In fact I have seen these same exact towels on a co-op for more than that.

be aware that they all bleed color on the first wash, so wash them alone to start.

    Default Microfiber absorbency

Speaking of quality, OK, now I know the WM ones are better than the Sams (thanks for letting me know)...

So how do the WalMart ones compare to the Target and Costco ones?

I have all four in a close proximity, so tell me which are the best (most absorbent) and I'll be out to get those...

    Thanks!

Ah, thanks! I would have been annoyed for the same reason. I have a close friend whose husband is an asst manager at Walmart, so he goes in quite often. I think it's time to make a list for them. :) I'm looking for some of those Walmart bibs, too, so that might be a good way to get them both at the same time. :)

I haven't tried the costco ones but the target ones are a bit softer and not as static clingy as the walmart ones.
