Default RE: I wanna be a fluff girl...

I love my Snap-EZ fleece pocket! It's trim and really well made. Somewhat more affordable is the Apronstrings fleece pocket. I use a large for night time and it works very well. Here's the website:

It may be worth trying one of each to see which you like better. I do like my SEZ more, but it was definitely more than the Apronstrings.

Hmm...actually, I'll have to check my stash, but I may still have one of the Apronstrings on the swap if you want me to check.

Just another nod to Apronstrings! We're new at this, but I love this dipe!

That'd be super, Eileen, if you have a minute. Which swap group is this, the general BBB Yahoo! swap or diaperswap or...?

And thanks for the Apronstrings endorsement, Rachel.

I've got an Apronstrings fleece that we also use at night, its OK, but I like the two rows of snaps on the Snap-EZ. Less wing droop.

Actually, all of my apronstrings have two rows of snaps. You can ask her to do that. :) In fact, I was surprised that she'll do front aplix or side snap as well if you ask. I have/had a couple of side-snap as well as front snap, but I don't remember what I've sold and what I still have--I definitely have to check.

Saccade, I'll check on it tomorrow and let you know!

    Thanks!

If you (anyone) can stand one more question, why side vs front snaps vs Aplix? I imagine that with Aplix you have to be sure to fasten before washing, but easier for neophytes... Are side snaps better because DC are less likely to play with them?

Well, there's this thing called wing droop, which all front snap dipes with one row of snaps are prone to, to some degree or another. It is particularly pernicious when you're using the tightest snap settings. Basically, the dipe is held in place in the very front, and the sides slip down, making leaks more likely, and just looking weird. Worse with a mobile-age baby, of course. The second set of snaps ameliorates this. Side snap diapers always have two rows of snaps, and the wings go behind the front, so no drooping. Also, better for very chubby thighed babies, since you can leave the legs looser, and keep the waist snug.

My DS can undo any diaper, if he's got a mind to. Sadly.

Exactly. Front velcro, if it's wide enough, is also pretty good about eliminating wing droop. Our Angeldry wool cover is a good example of this.
