    Default Favorite readily available wipes?

DD has a nasty rash (thanks to antibiotics), and screams at the sight of regular wipes. I've been thinking about making the leap to cloth wipes for a while, but this is pushing me over the edge.

Where can I find some super-soft cloth wipes right away? We're using baby washcloths, but they just aren't soft enough. I know I saw some on the Diaper Hunt, but I stupidly forgot to bookmark them. :(

    Thanks!

First off, my favorite are velour/sherpa. I do have some velour/velour, and some flannel and terry, but I find that the flannel tends to fade and not remain as soft after a while. But let me see what I can find:

Let's see...Snap-EZ has some in stock, including a grab bag of mismatched ones for $1 each ($6 for 6) (variety of material)

    Here's some more:

    http://www.angeldrydiapers.com/store...perAccessories (flannel and hemp)

    http://www.kneesnbottoms.com/store/W...Yes&Thumbs=100 (velour)

    http://www.bum-ware.com/store/WsDefa...pes/Washcloths (flannel/sherpa)

    http://www.cherubskiss.com/ (flannel)

    http://www.chunkymonkeyboutique.com/store/WsDefault.asp (oooh! sherpa/sherpa and sherpa/velour--she's having a sale, too!)

Okay, I'm going to stop for now. :)

And totally off-topic, but isn't this adorable?

    Eileen -

I KNEW I could count on you! I actually almost emailed you directly with my question! :) I was leaning toward velour/sherpa, so it's good to hear from someone who likes them.

    And that wreath is adorable!

Now I'm off to explore all your links!

ETA - I forgot to say THANK YOU!!

    You're welcome. :)

I forgot one more--it's where I got the majority of my sherpa/velour wipes (although I have a bunch from SEZ as well). Lucy's hope chest sells them for 6 for $7. I *THINK* there's some sort of sale going on at her site, but I can't figure it out. In any case, her selection of colors is supposedly limited, but I didn't care. They're nice and soft, which is what I cared about. :)

The only problem is that others on these boards have had problems with her CS and time, but it looks like most of them had ordered diapers from her as well. I've only ever ordered wipes from her (2x's) and had no problems both times.

All my wipes are velour/sherpa from LHC. When I only ordered those, CS was fine. When I also got a diaper cover, that was harder. I always get white or cream, so color selection doesn't matter to me.

I think that if there is a sale, the text is from a sale that ended Oct. 9. Not sure though.

well, you can actually just use plain water. I use an old dishwashing soap bottle and it works fabulously. I used to use my peri bottle, but Kaya absconded with both of them long ago! I have used Baby Bits successfully, but I actually like the scent of the Honey Chunks, Mild, better:

You can get them from her, and ask her for the sensitive skin version.

And I know I ran into several WAHMs who make it and I'm guessing I could figure it out if I went back over my list, but honestly, I really like these Honey Chunks and see no reason to switch. :)

I've been using the following, and the peanut is doing great:

    2 C distilled water
    2 TBSP olive oil
    squirt of baby wash

    can add (I do)

    2 drops lavender oil
    2 drops tea tree oil

I mix up a new batch as soon as I pour it into the wipes warmer.

I have an assortment of wipes. I didn't think I'd use cloth wipes, but we LOVE them.

    Default Thanks! And another question...

How do you use it? :) Do you keep dry cloths and spray them down before wiping? Spray DC's bottom and then wipe? Keep wipes soaking in solution in wipe warmer or other container?

I'm gathering that each of you do different methods, and I would love to hear about both!

    Thanks again-

I fold up all my wipes in half, lay the stack in my wipes warmer (or wipes box), then pour the solution over top of the stack. it will all soak in, and then they are ready and waiting! :)

(FYI...actually, it works best to pur some solution over the bottom half of the stack, and some over the top, so it distributes thru the whole stack better).
