Default Help! Cloth wipes getting slimy

I've been using cloth wipes for almost two years now but all of a sudden they've started getting slimy in the wipes warmer almost instantly (as in within 24 hours). I'm using distilled water, a natural baby soap (can't remember the name, but it's been recommended for wipe solution on these boards), lavendar oil and tea trea oil. The only thing that I can think of that's changed is that I bought bigger containers of distilled water recently.

Our cloth wipes get gross so fast that we've been using lots of sposie wipes even though Maddy hates the coldness on her bum. I'd love any suggestions or advice.

    TIA!

I've never used cloth wipes, but could they need to be stripped like a diaper? I'm wondering if the oils have built up on them, or if the wipes warmer maybe has a little buildup? Good luck, I hope you find a solution!

We use only water on the wipes in the warmer. Maybe that could work for you.
    Good lick
