    Thanks to all for your well-wishes. We had an elective C-section birth as the baby was apparently big and did not want to engage into my wife's pelvis even at week 38-39! I guess that meant that she did not have to have her head compressed on the way out. By the way, Annamaria came out at 3.37kg (approx. 7lbs. 7oz.) and friends have said that that was on the heavy side!
