Greetings from a longtime lurker

Hello to all. My name is Jennifer. I'm a first time mom and my daughter Anna Alexandria was born 1-6-03, 8lbs 3oz. I've been wanting to post for a long time but we had had installed some software that prohibited me from doing so and around the time we got that fixed I went back to work and since then I've been lucky to have a chance to read anything let alone post.

I just wanted to tell you all how much I enjoy reading these boards. Being a new mom I feel obsessed with everything baby and I know my co-workers, family and friends don't share my obsession to the same degree so I feel like when I read these boards I'm getting my fix of baby talk. It is so reassuring to know that your not crazy with all of the little things new moms tend to worry about. This baby stuff is complicated but I think in reading everyones experiences and advice it helps give you the confidence to kind of wing it. I've realized from reading these boards that there is a great diversity to how different people raise there kids and there is often no single right answer.

Everyone on these board seem very inviting and friendly. I look forward to getting to know you better. Thanks to all of you for your advice so far.

up until now you could get the avatars up at www.picturail.com. i say up til nowcause i think they r going to star charging for it but you could still check and see, i havent gotten an email yet...you just adjust your pic to 48 x 48 and upload it in the picture rail album then look up the url addi where it says options its relly simple heres a link to a thread that helps you out
