Charlotte is here!

I just wanted to let everyone know that my baby was born on Thursday and is a girl! We were very surprised and are so excited. Her name is Charlotte, which was the name of my favorite baby doll growing up!

She is big, too, and weighed in at 8 pounds, 11 ounces. I lost a lot of blood after her birth and am a little weak, but we are both doing well and enjoying being home. James is very interested in the new baby but is also staying occupied with trips to the zoo, etc. with his aunt. We will all be very sad when she has to leave tomorrow!

Thanks for all the good wishes! I'm attaching one photo of Charlotte in her going-home outfit, a Hanna pumpkin zipper. She was 5 days late, which I never expected given James' early arrival, so the outfit is a little out-of-date, but I just had to put her in it anyway! :)

She's just beautiful.

Sophie just looked at Charlotte's picture and said "oooooh baby!" and then pulled up my shirt and pointed to my belly :)
