Saturday Night Live Birth

Well, after 30 hours of labor and 22 of that in back labor I had my DS. It really was like a Saturday night live sketch. I was in the middle of pushing when the doctor got a phone call. He comes back a couple of minutes later and says "Hi this is your friendly reminder from your neighborhood blockbuster". My husband than asks what movie he had due and turns out it was Adam Sandler's longest yard. Everyone then gets into a discussion on Adam Sandler movies forgetting that I'm supposed to be pushing. I finally told them that if I hadn't gotten an epidural they would all be dead. We also have a posed picture that everyone thinks is real of my mother and mother-in-law pretending to catch the baby with the godfather dirty shoes peeking out from behind the curtain. Finally everyone realized the baby was coming and after @7 pushes we had a boy. I guess I should have known it would be an adventure after the ultrasound with Poison playing on the radio.
