Default Euro Baby Carrier by JJ Cole - Any reviews?

I am looking for a baby sling for my soon-to-be-born baby (didn't love the Bjorn with my toddler), but I am not crazy about the slings that tie and have tails hanging down...I just saw the Euro Baby Carrier by JJ Cole at babystyle.com. I like the styling and the way it hangs on the shoulder as I will probably use the cradle position the most, but their description of the sling is very limited and I have been unable to find a web site for JJ Cole. Has anyone had any experience with this sling who could describe it in more detail - fabric, likes, dislikes, etc? Thank you!

I have been looking for some info on this too. I did find these few reviews on BRU site -

It seems that shorter woman have a more difficult time with it. I would love to find someone "I know" (i.e. even someone from the boards) who has seen/used one IRL, but no luck so far.

BTW, there are a ton on ebay right now too, if you are interested.

If you do a search you will find some reviews. But if I recall the general consensus is that there are better slings out there.
These sites havee slightly better descriptons.

Ok honestly I would not buy this. It looks bulky and uncomfortable. Since you do not like tails, than my suggestion would be either a pouch or a wrap. Both are perfect for a newborn.

Thanks for your input. I got sucked in by the different color combo...I like orange...and I ordered one in spite of the lack of reviews. Logically I know a tied sling may me a better option, but with a toddler who runs everywhere, I was looking for something I could throw on and go, without having to hassle with ties. I will post a review once baby number two arrives :)

I LOVE the orange too! Where did you order it? Are you planning on using it as a hip hammock for your toddler or just the new baby?? I definitely am interested in it for baby (not due until Oct) but was considering it for my 11 mos old now.

    Thanks.

Default RE: Euro Baby Carrier by JJ Cole - Ordering info

I am happy to hear I am not the only one loving the ORANGE sling!
I actually ordered it from Babycenter.com because they had the best price I could find and are having a 10% off sale - I got it for $49.39 (Babystyle.com was priced higher), and in my experience, BabyCenter has a great return policy and they ship quickly.
P.S. At BabyCenter.com the carrier is named the "Premaxx New Edition Carrier" by JJ Cole (and at other web sites) and not the "Euro Baby Carrier" by JJ Cole - as it is named at Babystyle.com
I will probably only use it for the baby because our son is 19 months old, 3 feet tall and over 30 lbs - too heavy for me to carry - sling or not.
I ordered it Friday so I should have it this week - I will let you know if I love it afterall.
