    Default Kozy Pictures

Can anyone who has a Kozy please post pictures of it here so we can have a single thread to see all the different fabric/color choices and combinations. I'm about to put myself on the waiting list but am unsure what fabric to choose-- I'm thinking "Tropical Stripes" or "Cabin" right now so I'm especially interested in seeing pictures of those. I hope this can help everyone else who is thinking about ordering a Kozy and doesn't want to search all the many past posts looking for pictures. TIA.

    Here are a couple:

    Sonya,

Did you get Kael into that back carry by yourself? How do you do that? Also, is he able to reach out with his hands? TIA

Yes - I did it all by myself! The regular back carry is much easier to do. I still need a mirror though as Kael's legs are all over the darn place. The high carry is more difficult but uses the same concept as the regular back carry - just more jiggling around to position him.

I start with the waist tied and the straps in my pocket. Hoist Kael on my hip, bend over then twist him around. You have to move your arms around at a weird angle: he's on my right hip so my right arm is twisted back to shift him and I reach my left arm behind me to anchor him to my back. Also I have to hop a little bit to get him moving. When he's on my back, I use the mirror to make sure the Kozy is between his legs (this is the hard part), make sure your baby is in the center of the Kozy with legs on the outside, then shimmy/pull the kozy body up and toss the straps over my shoulders. At this point I'm parallel to the floor. Hop and jiggle a bit more to shift him into position (higher and closer on my back) and tighten.

I can do the back carry pretty easy now - the hi-back is still a work in progress. Since Kael's much closer to my head, he loves yanking on my pony tail so he's totally squirmy which makes it difficult.

Good luck! I'll do the hi-carry again and will post more tips if needed.

About reaching out with his hands, YES. He yanks on my hair like he's riding a horse. I have to roll the Kozy up 3 times though.

You must be VERY talented! Or Kael is super cooperative! The one time I tried to position DD on my back, she squirmed all over because she thought it was soooo fun. I'll have to keep trying.

It's the Nikon CoolPix 4300. It actually doesn't flip out - it's a digital so I was using the screen to get in the right position.

    It's a great camera!

Thanks for the pictures everyone. Keep them coming!

Sonya-- We have the same camera except that mine is the 3100 model.

I see that there's new fabrics up on the Kozy site so I think I'm going to put my name on the waiting list finally for the "Sailor" fabric.

I just got my Kozy and I'm loving it! Kelley made it with some fabric I sent her and it turned out gorgeous. Worth the wait!

I tried DD in the high back carry and she loved it.
