How long did you use your Ergo or Kozy to back carry?

I love my Ergo and have a Kozy on the way. Though, DS is suddenly feeling heavy...in the last two weeks. I am sure it varies, though I am curious to know how long you have been able to back carry your toddler. Also, if you use a Kozy how well does it work it for a higher back carry?

DS is 17 months and around 22 lbs. I am 5' 2". I love carrying him on my back and am going to miss it :-(

At 31lbs, Colin is too heavy to do a back carry in a Kozy for any length of time. He's pretty content, but I don't find it comfortable. I can still carry him in front, though.

My DS is quite a bit younger than you, he's 9mo, but he weighs almost 25lb. I carry him in a high back carry with the Kozy all the time. It's comfortable for about an hour or two, and I plan to keep carrying him on my back for a long time. I'm lusting after another Ergo, I had one and sold it when DS was 5mo!
