Hotsling & Zolo: Best place to buy & what type fabric??
After reading over many posts, I think I am going to try to buy one or both of these. I just want something plain, like black or another solid. I am due in Jan.
I wanted to find out what type of fabric you would recommend (I have never worn or seen a sling a before & want something EASY).
Also, where is the best place to buy these??
TIA!!

I think the best place to try out carriers is the FSOT (for sale or trade) board on thebabywerarer.com. You can see what there is for offer, or you can post your own ISO (in search of). Moms take extremely good care of their carriers, yet they are substantially below new prices. Plus, they've actually softened with use, so in my opinion the used ones are better for it. (When I just started I got everything new. Once I learned, I only got new those things I could not find at all used. E.g., I have gotten both a Hotsling for like 2/3 of the price, and 2 Zolo ring slings for half the price.)

For the Hotslings, I would recommend the Fleece or stretch cotton. Those are really comfortable and have good "give".

I personally prefer the sateen stretch cotton Hotsling fabric. It's so smooth and soft.
For zolo, I think a stretch cotton might be easiest to start with, but I'd personally like to try a silk one. :)

Fleece! Fleece has nice stretch to it making the pouch easier to use.
