    Default Hotsling or Peanut Shell

Is there a strong preference here for one vs. the other? #2 is due in Feb & I'd use it for quick walks to pick up DD1 from school, etc. & probably a bit around the house. Also, is there someplace I should really check out for competitive pricing once I decide?

    TIA!

Both are great slings and similarly constructed, both will serve the your purpose!

This has been a frequently asked question, so I'm posting some links to other threads debating the same thing. You can also do a search on thebabywearer.com (must register but it's free and treasure trove of info).

I would probably go with whichever has fabrics that you are digging. But that's just me.

    The above links are great.

Basically, just go with the fabric/print that you like ;)

I bought a SlingLing ( www.slinglings.com ) and love it. Actually I have three - she has a Buy 2 get 1 Free deal and I figured I'd need one for when one is in the wash. This also let me get different fabrics so I can match fabric to mood or clothes if I so desire. (Hmmm... matching my own outfits... yes, I do vaguely remember doing that!)

Anyway, I liked that she is a SAHM and that the website has the best wearing info of any of the sites I looked at. Also, the reviews at Babywearer were all great - both for the slings themselves and for the customer service at the company.

Where ever you buy one, make certain they have a good return or exchange policy. If the sling isn't the correct size, it will be uncomfortable.

Your best bet would be Hotslings. I personally love them!

A babystore in town sells both and I recently tried them on because DC#2 is due in July and I wanted to try them on without the baby bump. I much prefered the Hotsling because the fabric was lighter. It seemed to conform to my body better and with dc due in the summer I thought the lighter fabric would be more comfortible. The Peanut Shell had a cool pocket on the outside I liked but I'm not sure how much someone would actually use it. You wouldn't want your cell phone right at baby's head. With the winter due date you might prefer the Peanut Shell or maybe even a fleece sling. I hear great things about them.
