favorite MT - anyone like the napsack?

i have a newborn and am really enjoying the pouch style carrier (i have a fleece hotsling). but my dd loves the tummy to tummy position and i think i woudl like a MT. What are your favorites? Does anyone have any BTDT experience w/ at napsack? i think the shape looks nice. TIA!

I was thisclose to getting a Napsack, I might eventually. I ended up not getting one because I had just missed her stocking and was too impatient to wait :D

I got a Mei Tai Baby (www.meitaibaby.com) and really loved it (and still do, although it doesn't get a lot of wear ATM). I can't really compare the two, since I don't have a Napsack or tried it, but I know that *I* love the MTB and pretty much everyone who tries it on at NINO does too. It's a great carrier, and I see them on thebabywearer's FSOT pretty frequently.

I don't have a Napsack MT... yet? maybe someday? They do look stunning and get rave reviews.

It looks to me like it has a rather long body. IME the longer body MTs work great with older/ bigger babes, but can be a bit overwhelming with littler ones. Also, I don't know how its contoured shape affects 'froggying' (baby's legs are bent like a frog the inside the carrier rather than having stick out since they arent big enough to have their legs go around you - I can try to find links to picks).

Anyhow, I *LOVED* my Babyhawk (http://www.babyhawk.com/ - regular size)and my Mei Tai Baby (http://www.meitaibaby.com/) with my kiddo when she was really little. The Babyhawk was our first MT - and she took her first ride in it when she was little more than a couple weeks old.

On a side note since you asked for our favorites, while we continue to use and love the ones I mentioned - DH uses the MTB exclusively - I would be remiss if I didn't also mention how much we also love the Kozy (http://www.kozycarrier.homestead.com/) and MOM Tai (http://mom-designs.com/).

Yeah - there is alot of Mei Tai love in this house. Eep!

I have 2 and it is very comfy because of the wider straps. The contoured bottom actually worked for my little one because she did not want her legs in. She is a petite baby and the Napsack worked for us.

The other mei tai that I love is the Freehand. It is a smaller bodied mei tai which again, worked well for my petite dd.
