Default Latia/essnce629 - Fiona Lang bag

    Latia,
Did you ever get your strap fixed? Or did it get worse?

Caroline-- Here's the link to my post about my Fiona Lang straps fraying:

    http://www.windsorpeak.com/dc/dcboar...ng_type=search

I ended up getting tired of looking at those frayed ugly straps so one night at like 2am I took a few matches to it in the middle of my living room! I burned them all up and that sealed off the edges to prevent any more fraying. It's been fine since and I haven't had any more fraying but who knows if that's permanent. I was only using this bag for all day outings and it managed to survive an all day outing at the Wild Animal Park last week packed to the max and hanging from my stroller. I just received a Land's End large canvas tote though and it will probably become my new all day outing bag and weekender bag. It holds everything and is still not even close to busting at the seams. My Fiona Lang bag is big but for me I needed just a tad more space. I will probably write up a review on the LE large canvas tote tomorrow-- I've already taken millions of detailed pictures of it :)!

Oh yikes!!!! I think it is definitely fraying b/c of weight. It shouldn't but it looks like it is being pulled from the seams. I don't know if sealing the end will solve your problem long term. I would either return it to TJMacc, call the company or bring it to someone who can fix/reinforce it. I'm so sorry that happened - disappointing!!!!!!!!!!! You have not even had it that long - 2 months maybe??????? Did anyone else's do this (some ladies bought these bags too right?)

I thought of returning the bag to TJ Maxx but they've never had any more pink ones and I would want another one, not just get my money back. I really, really like the bag and don't want to part with it. And I've looked into contacting the company but I can't find anything online on "Fiona Lang." All I know is that it's from Los Angeles-- a little boutique or something? I didn't keep the tags from the bag and I don't remember even seeing any contact information anywhere on it. I may just reinforce the straps with some stitches myself if it gets any worse. I know other people on here have the same bag, but no one else mentioned having any problems when I posted before so I don't know if I'm the only one.

    Hi Latia,

I typed a response to your post about your bag having problems, but then it got erased and I forgot to type it again. I've had good luck so far and I pack it pretty full. I usually hang my bag by the backpack straps from my stroller, **but**, we don't go to the park all day, just the mall occasionally and the rest of the time it's in the car during errands, etc. I'm sorry to hear your bag isn't holding up. I'm being careful with mine after hearing yours is having problems.

Hey Heidi! I'm glad your bag is working out for you. I really love mine although I needed a slightly bigger bag for all day outings to the zoo, etc (just got the LE large canvas tote). I've never used the backpack straps-- maybe I'll try that. :)
