Default What do you all take for airplane travel?

I am looking for two new diaper bags for airplane travel with a two year old. I am planning to hang one bag from the GoGoKidz, and carry the other either backpack or messenger style. I had pretty much decided on the OSA Urban Backpack/Urban Easy Access Overnighter and the Fleurville ST. Now I see that the LL Bean diaper bag is also available now. And, there is a georgous Bumble on Swap. Help! Give me some guidance. :) I'm new to the "better" diaper bags, and it's quickly turning into a full-blown obsession. I am hoping to keep under $200, but am flexible. Thanks!

We flew to Disney when my dd was 2 and I used the LLBean bag and LE Backpack. They were perfect! I packed all my personal stuff and the diaper bag stuff in the LLBean and I packed a change of clothes for all 3 of us, toys, snacks, first aid, etc in the backpack. I wore the LLBean messenger style and hung the backpack off my stroller. For plane travel/travel in general, I prefer durable bags that maybe aren't so attractive vs something really nice/expensive that I'll worry about.

Sorry to jack your post but I was wondering what the OSA Urban backpack is? My sister wants a backpack diaper bag and I'm trying to find her a good one.
    Thanks!

Hey, no highjack! :) The backpack is the One Step Ahead Urban Backpack.

I've heard that this is a pretty large bag for everyday use, but works fabulous for travel or heavy packers. I'm thinking of getting it myself. It also only retails for around $79, plus you can usually find a coupon code to enter upon checkout. Hope this helps!

Just wanted to add my experience with the sling tote. I was so excited about this bag, but when I got mine I was not happy with it. It's very nice, but it is so heavy! Unpacked, it weighs a lot and then when you put stuff in it, it is like carrying around another baby! I had to return it, it was just to heavy for me to lug around everyday. Too bad, because I really liked the look of it! I know so many here love theirs, but I could not get past the weight of that bag at all. I would definitely not want to lug it around on a trip!

I just ordered the LE Diaper Backpack for travel, and have been using it as an everyday bag to test it and like it a lot. I consider the price one of the pluses ($39 and well-made). Very comfy to wear and lots of interior pockets plus a light-blue lining so things don't get lost in the black hole inside. I have it in green and it's fun!
