Default RE: why are shopping cart covers so expensive?

I picked up the Original Clean Shopper at Marshalls for $12.99 - - great bargain! I saw a couple as recently as two weeks ago at both Marshalls and TJ Maxx.

I got my Original Clean Shopper about 1 and half ago at TJ Maxx for $15.99 and we still use it with 28 month old DS. We don't go to the store without it.

Wish my TJ Maxx had this kind of stuff! I always see so many posts on great deals on baby stuff -- ours never has anything good!

I think it's one of those hit or miss type of things.. Sometimes there is nothing good, other times I find something I can't live without. 8-)
I try to go to TJ Maxx every few weeks, just to see what's new.

I think it makes the cart more comfortable, especially if DD naps in it.
I'm a big fan of Baby a la Cart, and have bought a gazillion as shower gifts.

I never saw the need, Ds was not much of a mouther. Then when he was around two and healthy people were dying from the flu that winter. Then I bought a cart cover.

Now I'm glad b/c Dd mouths EVERYTHING. She even gets to the spots my cart cover slips away and doesn't keep protected. That's why I'm back to find a BIGGER one.

I can not fathom why they are that expensive. Honestly I never saw the need but then again, I do not have a child with a compromised immune system or something nor a child that ever mouthed carts or similar items. Toby has been overwhemingly healthy so perhaps I would feel differently if he were prone to getting sick. In addition to being expensive, I think most of them are really ugly but that is just me. Also I am so lazy I can't imagine dragging it around. I am a bad mama! ;)
