Has anyone ever thrown a LE Little Tripper in the wash?

The website says spot clean, but I'd like to wash mine.

When I ordered mine from le the cs lady said I could spot clean it or just throw it in the sink with woolite and wash it like a sweater. You could also scrub it with a toothbrush where it's dirty. I think she said that machine washing it would damage the lining.
I haven't had to wash it yet,although I'm sure I'll have to soon. Good luck.
