Viacord vs. CBR - what are the relative strengths?

Could some of you who have already made the decision help me understand why you chose one company over the other?

I think it is best to call both companies because both are very good however I went with Viacord at the end of the day, here is why:

- Viacord uses bags not vials just like the American Red Cross
- They are a science company, most other companies are therefore just big freezers.
- Their financials are the strongest out there and their parent company is Viacell.
- they also are working on Selective amplification, not just amplification.

Both seemed to be strong companies. We looked at how many successful transplants were done from their bank, their company stability and the overall numbers of clients they had. We also like the screening and sterility testing that they did.

We chose CBR and have been very happy with our banking so far.
