Default Help with a dry stork bite

    Hi,
I hope some mom or dad out there can help me...my baby has a rather large stork bite on the back of his head. He is 3 months old and about 2 weeks ago this area started to peel and crack. I have been putting aveeno baby on it but it makes me worry , has anyone ever seen or heard of something like this? and if so is it normal?

My son had a strawberry birth mark on the back of his leg and it freaked me out when it started to grow thicker and thicker. But it never cracked or bled. And it was gone by the time he was 2. I'd give your doctor a call. Better safe than sorry. Good luck!

Have you ever try putting hydrocortizone 1% in there? DS's skin is quite dry and sometimes chapped. My ped recommended hydrocortizone to use sparingly. He warned me though not to use too much because it contents some steroid. COnsult with your ped.
