Help! Is 15 months too old to Ferberize?

Our sleeping habits have totally deteriorated. I won't go into the details, but I need to get my 16 month old back on track and in his own bed and am afraid it is going to be a painful. Is he too old to Ferberize? Does anyone think Weissbluth's approach is better? I never thought I would consider CIO, but nothing kinder and gentler seems to help. I need something I can be consistent with but will end in a reasonable bed time and spending the entire night asleep in his own bed. I would love to hear from any of you who have been through this.

No, he's not too old to Ferberize, but because he's older, it may take longer and involve more (louder crying). I would go ahead and try it anyway--in the long run you will probably be better off. Good luck.
