    Default Humidifiers

My 3 1/2 month old is having a lot of nasal congestion. I have been using saline spray but am considering a humidifier as our air is really dry. Its probably been asked a million times but are most people getting warm mist or cool. My biggest concern is bacteria growth but yet I want something that is easy to clean or doesnt' need tons of cleaning. I have heard warm mist are hazards because of the hot water.

Warm water makes the humidifier a prime breeding ground for bacteria. However, if you do not keep the humidifier super clean, it will be a bacteria haven anyway. I would suggest cleaning it every other day with a one part bleach 3 part water solution. When you use the nasal saline do you follow it with bulb suction? Also he may need a prescription allergy med like Pediatex D. Hope this helps.
