    Default Toddlers learning tolerance--article

I really thought this article was interesting, about how kids learn about diversity and tolerance.

    Thanks for sharing Allison.

DS who is 23 months is certainly learning about diversity. He is of mixed ethnicity, his neighbor friend is Caucasian, another friend is an 8 year old Creole girl, and he goes to a Chinese school.

A few months ago his teacher told me that there was a girl with Down Syndrome who took a liking to him, so she liked to pat him on the back, to hug him, etc., and his teacher said that he happily let her do that. He was also gentle with her. I am glad to hear that.

I do hope that he will be tolerant and open to diversity.
