I got the idea from here for homemade gifts for the grandparents this Christmas. So I took the kids to the Ceramic Cafe here in town and put their handprints and footprints on a plate that I am making for my parents. It is awesome!! I haven't been to one of these paint-your-own pottery places for years and they are fabulous! I got so many neat ideas there. At this rate, I may be visiting this place once a month to create something for myself. :)
Plus, Kathleen *loved* it. She painted a fish some wild colors and had a ball. Didn't want to leave! :)

Maureen - My neighbors did this on a plate with their older daughter's hand and their younger daughter's foot. It is adorable and it hangs in their kitchen. I totally want to do this at some point myself! Glad Kathleen enjoyed it so much! Hope Ellen cooperated with the footprints and handprints ok!
