Default We just made handprints with Scupley clay!

One of the small gifts for the grandparents this year is Sara's little handprint. We used 2 little packages of the colored sculpey clay rolled it to about 3/8 of an inch thick and stuck her hand in it (hard to get enough pressure for a really good print, but we tried). Then we used a circle shaped cookie-cutter with scalloped edges and cut the print out, so the edges look nice and baked. Voila! It took all of 10 minutes of pre-cooking, then 15 minutes cooking and about 30 minutes cooling. Hurrah!

GREAT idea. Where did you get the clay?

We bought ours at Hobby Lobby, but Michael's would have it too. The colored clays come in small packages... we needed 2 packs for one print. It was so easy. Lizajane was the one who had the original idea... She also suggested putting the print into a shadow box to give it a "finished" look. Have fun.
