DIY night light or mobiles?

I've been looking for night lights or crib mobiles that come close to matching the PBK bedding I'm planning to use in our nursery, and just haven't seen anything I liked. I'd love to find a night light that is red gingham. I've seen every color except red! It seems like I've seen a Martha Stewart show or something about night light 'frames' that you can stick your own fabric or paper to. Has anyone seen anything like this or know where to get it? Also, I'm having no luck with a crib mobile either. Is it possible to get a mobile 'blank' and attach your own toys? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I've also read that many people have just bought the simple lamp-style nightlights shown in the second link and simply glued fabric on. My local craft store sells small squares of fabric, making it very cheap and easy.
