Default need a one-piece pattern for baby:

I'm looking for a one-piece union suit/pajama pattern for a baby. here's the catch: I'm looking for something that is suitable for flannel. All the patterns I've seen from Kwik-Sew, Simplicity, Butterick, etc are all for STRETCH KNITS ONLY. Any ideas?

    thank you!

    Rachel,

Have you seen this one by Kwik Sew? It is number 2360 and can be used with fleece, which I know is a knit, but I believe you could use flannel as well, as long as you allowed for enough room without the stretch.

That's a kind of garment that I think really calls for a knit. I've never seen wovens used for it in ready-to-wear, either; when you combine the shape of a one-piece with the wiggliness of a baby, I think you have to have stretch to make it work.

On the other hand, working with knits really isn't as bad as it seems -- I discovered it worked fine on my machine.
