Has anyone tried making their own Diapees and Wipees?

I love the idea of Diapees and Wipees (http://www.diapeesandwipees.com/html/products.html) and the price isn't too bad, but it still seems like a lot for something I should be able to make myself. Has anyone tried? Any tips? How big did you make it? What kind of closure?

I have not tried making one myself, but i came across this website that provides step by step instructions and pattern pieces: http://crafts.sleepingbaby.net/dipecase.html

I am tempted to give it a try.

Ooh, I'm going to have to try that pattern out. I do have a D&W case, but to be honest, I was expecting more durable fabric than broadcloth, considering the price.

I made one from this pattern last week after seeing this post. It is super easy and took me about an hour total time. This includes dealing with a 12 month old while I was trying to make it and searching for the velcro. I am sure I could get 2-3 out in the same time frame now.

As you can see in the second picture, I used dots instead of strip velcro as that was all I could find, though I know I have some black velcro somewhere! Also I was so excited when I started cutting that I didn't think about matching the stripes until I have both pieces cut so I ended up cutting two fronts. The travel wipe case I have is the Pamper's case I received with my freebie bag from the hospital, and I think it is a bit larger than most wipe cases. This makes for a tight fit with two dipes (size 4 right now).
I used scrap fabric left over from a sling I made a couple of months ago.
