Default What's the best 12" straight trimmer for scrapbooking?

OK, I'm just starting to scrapbook and just finished my first page. I bought a bunch of Disney pages from Hot off the Press to do my Disney vacation pics, but the silly pages don't fit exactly in my Creative Memories album, so I need to trim them. I did this using an X-acto knife, and it wasn't pretty. Which 12" straight trimmer would you recommend that cuts straight, doesn't slip, and cuts exactly where you think it will? Thanks so much!

I really like the Zision by Provo Craft.

It is green and pink. It also comes with a scoring blade. I like that it is lightweight yet completely stable. It also has not gotten out of whack (had that problem with Fiskars). It cuts completely straight, the measurements on it are easy to use and the blades last awhile and are pretty kid safe. I know AC Moore carries it.

I feel bad saying this b/c one of my best friends is a Creative Memories rep, and I use almost all of their products, but I can't stand their straight trimmer. If you cut any paper other than CM in it, it tears at it. Very frustrating. I havent looked for a replacement yet, though.

I've used this one by Fiskars for quite a long time:

You may want to test drive an option or two if you can-- I bet a scrapbook store would be willing to let you try a trimmer out if it will mean a sale for them. A lot of them may have some out of the packaging to use for classes.

I bought a rotary trimmer (fiskars, I think) from Sam's. It's larger than a 12" so it takes up quite a bit of room and it was about $30 or so, so not exactly cheap. However, it cuts everything, including fabric and craft foam and the rotary blades are interchangable (you can even get fancy blades and scoring blades). I've been very happy with it. I've seen them in the office supply area of walmart and in several craft stores.

Ok...This is where I'm still experimenting...

I've been using the Fiskars Straight trimmer for many years, and I liked it very much... but, It seemed to get dull pretty quickly.
So- I moved to the Cutterpede Straight Trimmer- it's the green rotary trimmer.
I like it, but the pad underneath the cutter needs to be replaced frequently. I like that I can change cutters- I bought the deckle and wave cutters.

I would recommend the Cutterpede one over the Fiskars one...and I would not recommend the Creative Memories one to anyone... Never made a good straight cut- but if you are looking for a decorative edge I would recommend the CM decorative trimmer or whatever it's called.

I found that one had too much give in the plastic. I now have this: http://www.fiskarscrafts.com/tools/t...r-trimmer.aspx and it's metal, so it doesn't bend or give. I get a good straight cut with it, too.

Thanks for all of your responses, everyone! I did try the CM one at a recent crop and wasn't real happy with it. I'll look into your suggestions and wait for a Michael's coupon. :)
