    Default peanut butter

Someone gave my DD peanut butter without my permission. Thankfully, she did not have any type of reaction to it. We don't plan to give her any more peanut butter until she is older (She's 13 months now), but my question is whether having peanut butter once now makes her more prone to developing a peanut allergy later. I guess I wondering, if she was going to react at all, would she have done so after that first taste of peanut butter?

My understanding is that some children develop the allergy after having a lot of peanut butter early in life, not necessarily after the first exposure.

That is my understanding too. And also, food allergies generally require more than 1 exposure to express themselves.
