Default Attempted denial of DS growing up

We went to the ped yesterday for Jack's 1 year check. He said to start transitioning him over to whole milk on any supplemental bottles he gets-Just 1 that he gets at night. So yesterday I bought the 1/2 gallon of organic whole milk and took it home, told DH about it and then when I mixed his bedtime bottle I didn't put the milk in it. When DH asked, I told him I forgot. I didn't forget. I didn't want to do it-it feels like he is growing up too fast and adding that whole milk was just a way of acknowledging it. How dumb is that?

Default RE: Attempted denial of DS growing up

Not dumb at all! J. is almost 14 months, and we still primarily use formula for his 1 night-time bottle--we're on our last can, so I know that it will stop when this is used up. I'm having major weaning issues--DS has done fine with eliminating his other daytime bottles over the last few weeks, but I am really missing them--it just seems like he's growing up too fast :( .
