What nursing pads would you recommend? I've heard good things about Lansinoh dispoable, but am also interested in reusable reccs. How long does one need to use nursing pads? FWIW, I'm not a big leaker...

I am a big leaker (esp at night) and love the lansinoh. I also have some medela reusables that I use during the day which work just fine. I found them at target.

I love the Johnson's pads....I'm not a huge leaker, and these are molded and look much better under clothes than any of the others I've tried.

I also love the Johnson's pads -- they are the softest disposables I've tried, so they are great if you have any sort of irritation. A agree that they also look best under clothes.
For reusables, I am using sweetcheeks nursing pads. They are a little bulky, but comfortable. I only use pads at night as I am not much of a leaker, so the bulkiness doesn't bother me.

I have used both Gerber disposable and reusable pads. The ultra thin disposable do not show underneath your clothes, but they lack the sticky tape that keeps them in place. The reusable are much more absorbant, but they are smaller in diameter and get to be a pain to wash. I just used handsoap that we have in the bathroom and rinsed them clean and let them air dry. I found it easier to use the disposable and keep extras in my diaper bag to change when needed. I didn't leak for too long of a time.

I use reusable pads, and by far my favorite are the wool-backed ones from Funny Farm Creations (a WAHM who is also a BBB mom). http://funnyfarmcreations.fourlittleducks.com/
She is closed right now, though. I don't know if she might have a pair or two instock somewhere- she is super nice; you could e-mail her and ask. They are SOOO soft, breathable, all natural, very absorbant and the teardrop shape helps them be less noticeable under clothes. They are more effective than any of the storebought (Lansinoh, Gerber, Medela) cotton pads I have tried.

I haven't gotten some WAHM-made ones yet, but my sister used Shandelle's and loved them. You can e-mail her and ask her about what's in stock or when she'll take more customs. I'm planning WAAAAAAAAAY ahead and ordering some from her. I've also ordered some from Mom and Me Creations (momandmepouch.com) and I've been told those are very nice. She's taking customs, so you might try her.
I used storebought cotton pads last time and they were pretty useless. I ended up having to use Kaya's diaper wipes folded in fourths (which are not exactly form-fitting, lol).
