Default 16 mo old breakfast- Working Mom

Jude's breakfasts are on of the following, think it is ok?

Bowl of cereal (Kix or Cheerios)
Fresh fruit (1/2 apple, 1/2 banana, or cut up grapes)

    Frozen waffle with butter
    Fresh fruit

He does not like juices, which does not bother me. Afterwards he will drink about 1/2 sippy cup of milk

He seem satisfied. I don't have time to cook, and if I cooked it would be eggs which he consistently rejects.

Any other ideas for quick breakfasts for daycare kids?

Have you tried mini pancakes or french toast sticks? Sophie loves these.

I'm wondering if Jude would eat those little tiny quiches they have at Whole Foods, Trader Joes and Costco. Sophie likes them.

You might also try the drinkable yogurts or smoothies. Another fave of Sophie's and a nice switch.

Toast/mini waffle/whatever smeared with cream cheese, soynut butter, fruit spread, whatever.

Cheese melted on toast or in a tortilla (zap in the microwave)

Make-ahead muffins -- toss them in a Ziplock in the freezer and then nuke them to reheat for about 20 seconds.

Some cereal bars are okay -- check for the Earth's Best or Whole Kids ones.

Or can do leftovers from the night before -- doesn't have to be breakfast food.

If I am feeling lazy I give Lane a slice of cheese for protein instead of cooking an egg. Frozen mini quiche is another good idea. There was a recent post about this (it may have been in the Lounge rather than here). If you didn't see it, let me know.

Gosh, if I gave him veggie lasagna leftovers he may never leave the table! He has a hollow leg right now.
