Default When did you move up to two & three meals a day?

I don't know how to decide this...how did you?

Dd is 6 months old and is eating once a day. Her breastmilk intake is down already, not the 32 oz it's supposed to be, but it's hard to tell if it's the food because she's also teething. She's only eating about 3-4 teaspoons total (food mixed with breastmilk) per day.

    Thanks,
    Jude

We went to two meals a day at 11 months and three meals a day around 14 months.

Yikes! Our ped said get to three meals a day of solids by 9 months. We started at 6 months, so I figure in a couple of weeks or so, we'll get on a schedule of solids 2x/day and then by 9 months get to 3x/day. But, DS is still not super crazy about solids (he *loves* to nurse!) so it may take us longer.

Our ped at the time said to start with 1 meal at 6 months and add one meal a month until we got to three. But she also emphasized that it was just for practice, not nutrition. DD did not start nursing fewer times each day until she nightweaned at 9 months. Then she nursed longer in the morning and before bed.
