Default Spit up on Silky: wash or not?

OK, DS loves his silky. Before introducing it, I slept with it tucked in to my PJ a few nights, plus we keep it close to our bodies at every BFeeding session, so it really has a good "mom-son smell". Now, he recently spit up on it a few times, so IMO it no longer smells that great. I was told over and over NOT to wash it to preserve the scent, etc., but....even with the spit up smell?

Yuck - definitely wash it!! If he rejects it after washing, then go through the same routine again. I'd highly recommend getting a back-up so that you always have one clean and ready to go when things like this happen. It gets worse as they get older - lovies often get misplaced at the most inopportune times!!
