I never had much luck using it as a nursing pillow. However, in the begining my son loved sleeping cradled in it and it was a nice pillow to sit on while I was recovering from the birth.

If it isn't too much, bring it and leave it in the car. Once you gt settled in you can decide if you want it or not.
If you feel at all stressed about worrying about one more thing to bring, leave it at home. :)
I hope everything goes wonderfully for you!

Ditto a couple of the others-- bring it and leave it in the car 'til you decide you want it. That first days were really messy and I wouldn't have wanted to get my boppy all gunked up in the hospital. Better to gunk up the hospital pillows 'til you start to get the hang of things!

I didn't bring the My Brest Friend, but wish I had. The LCs in the hospital had them, but I wish I had had my own.

Didn't take mine, didn't miss it. I had a c-section and the football hold was most comfortable in the hospital - I used two of my own pillows to prop up my back, and one hospital pillow under each arm to support DS. It was two weeks before I was brave enough to try the Boppy or have anything touch my belly, and by then I was comfortable using bed pillows, sofa pillows, whatever I could reach.

I wouldn't bring it. You are a mess, let the hospital stuff get gross plus with a new baby, flowers and all the stuff the hospital gives you it's hard enough to get loaded up. Leave it home.
P.S. Think of getting a My Breast Friend, they work much better.
I had a Boppy at home and it took me a lot of work in the early days to get the hang of it, so I don't think it would have helped me in the hospital. That said, I did later get the My Brest Friend and I think that next time, I may bring it to help, because it is so much firmer than a pillow (we were trying to arrange 4 pillows to best figure out how to nurse DD!). But I would bring it in the car, like PP said and decide after you get there.
