    Default Boppy to hospital?

I'm just finishing up packing and I'm wondering if it is worth hauling this along also as I'm already taking 2 pillows from home for sleeping, etc.

    Thanks for the help! Amy

I would say yes - I had it with me for both births. It can't hurt to have it with you.

ETA: Just keep it in the car you plan to drive to the hospital. If you decide you want it while in the hospital you can have someone run out and grab it.

I think definitely bring it along if you are planning to breastfeed. The special shape makes it easier to support your baby while you try to get the hang of nursing. Good luck!

I probably wouldn't if I were you. I found it was hard to use the boppy when my babies were brand new. I also had an easier time nursing in football hold at first, which is hard with a bobby. I think normal pillows worked fine, and since you have so much stuff anyway I wouldn't want one more thing. Good luck!!

I thought it was useless. It was easier to just use a pillow.

I never liked nursing with the Boppy, so I'd say no. You could call the hospital and see if they have nursing pillows available for you to use. The hospital that I delivered at had a few, but you had to request one from the LC.
