That is awesome! Us mommies make the best stuff don't we? I'm going to try it out on DH acne...And mine if I ever get any more.

I used to dab some on each affected 'spot' and it seemed to truly work.
Just remember to wash your hands first so you're not spreading more bacteria. ;)

My mom told me that when she was growing up (in a farming community), if you had pinkeye, you would find a nursing mom to get BM for your eyes! And thanks for the tip about BM for acne - I'll have to try that one out!

Yeah, I do that for Logan's scratches and it works awesome :)
When he was 2 months old he got a cold from me and was very stuffy and I had trouble suctioning stuff out with the nasal bulb. I took a dropper and would drop a few drops into his nose and then suck it out with the bulb...it worked great to loosen things up and I'd like to think he got some extra immune boosting stuff from it too :)

My LC told me that it is such an amazing salve that there is research being done about its healing properties for BURN VICTIMS. That's amazing!
Found this. . . thought it was interesting:

I just talked with Bright's pediatrition today (he got his two month shots this morning :( and she said that BM has the same something that they eyes do and so that's why it works so well to cure eye ailments. Brighton had a heat rash lastnight on his belly and so I took some cold BM from the fridge and put it on his belly...it was cleared up this morning! And I think I'm going to put some on his little legs where he got his shots. Can't hurt right?
I thought about making a butter to use as a diaper rash cream...anyone ever made butter before from BM?
omigod. . . . if someone says yes, I'll die! But what an excellent idea!
I wonder why, if we sell cow's milk in the refrigerator section of our local grocery store, why we don't sell BM and all things associated. Hmmmmmm. Women would be rich, rich, rich!
And, of course, there would be a skin care line. Move over Clinique!
I think I'll start using my BM as a toner for my face! My skin has been kind of "bumpy" lately. Anyone else want to join in on the experiment???? :)

according to a Good Eats fan, Alton Brown admitted to trying to make butter from breast milk at a book signing.

do a page search for "butter" and you'll find it.
After DH and I read this, we thought about it because i was off dairy and soy for a year+. We concluded that it would take a lot of BM to yield a little butter based on how little "cream" seemed to separate out of the BM. I also don't think i'd actually eat my own butter! :)
